Took a bit to get our order and customer service was very slow but very happy with the bike.
I received my bike and took it to my local bike store to have them assemble it. The manager was impressed with the quality of the parts. Once I pick it up and try it out I’ll add to my review.
This is a amazing bike I’d recommend it to anyone but make sure you secure the front basket. Today, I was just riding around and i yield and then make a slight turn to the left and BOOM the basket falls forward onto the front tire making me hit the concrete and do a scorpion!!! I’m ok (I got road rash and some bruises) but the bike isn’t, the front forks are bent backwards. So MAKE SURE YOUR BASKET IS TIGHTEN BEFORE EACH RIDE!!!
350W motor is plenty of power for my wife. We live in the foothills of Northern California and this bike is easily able to traverse even our steepest hills. Now our son owns a 350W motor Ebike also, but it doesn’t seem to have the same amount of torque as my wife’s Peacedove Cruiser. Our son’s Ebike dogs out on steeper hills. Ecotric makes a great bike especially for the money. The range on this Ebike is surprising. The wife has never come close to running her battery dead. Even though I’ve built my on personal Ebike from scratch I’m considering buying the Ecotric Vortex from Journey Bikes. Ecotric makes a quality bike and I trust Journey Bikes. Fairly fast shipping also. The one thing I think you should know is this cruiser style Ebike is heavier than other frame style Ebikes, but that’s to be expected with this larger frame size style Ebike.
P.S. California residents expect to have an extra $60 tacked for the battery core charge. Geez California will find any way to squeeze more money out of you.
The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that even on the lowest assistance setting, the bike wants me to go faster sometimes than I want to go! Otherwise, it's been great. Couldn't go as far or as long without it.
