When my wife received the first bike, it had issues as far as the chain falling off in second and first gear. After bringing it to a bike shop and finding out there were more issues as far as the frame, I was able to ship the bike back and received a new bike. Everything so far is great on the new bike but it is hard to ride it now in mid December after we had a big snowstorm!

It is the customer's responsibility to check their tracking info to determine if their bike has shipped signature required, if shipped signature required, the product must be signed for and it may NOT be left at the delivery address if the recipient is not available to sign for it. By placing your order with Journeybikes.com for an Electric Bicycle you agree to have the bicycle shipped with the signature required at time of delivery.
JourneyBikes.com is not responsible for packages that have been left at the recipient’s door and consequently lost and/or stolen OR packages that have been returned to sender due to unsuccessful delivery attempt. For lost packages, we will file a lost claim with the carrier, however if they deny that claim we will not be able to make any reimbursements.
If the package is returned to sender by the shipping provider due to unsuccessful delivery attempts or if customer refuses delivery, customer will have the option to have package re-shipped to their address and cost of shipping will be the customer's responsibility; or if customer does not wish to have the bike re-shipped to them, then they will be eligible for a refund minus the original shipping costs and according to their product brand's specific returns policy, a 15% restocking fee.

Most electric bicycles can be ridden where other non-motorized bikes are allowed. But it is your responsibility to check and obey all local laws. Your electric bicycle may only be ridden in safe areas where all laws are being followed and all required permissions are given.
Because it is impossible to anticipate every situation or condition which can occur while riding, Journey Bikes LLC makes no representation about the safe use of the bicycle under all conditions. There are risks associated with the use of a bicycle which cannot be predicted or avoided, and which are the sole responsibility of the rider.
YOU'LL ALSO NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING PREPARATIONS BEFORE RIDING YOUR ELECTRIC BIKE:
If you don't feel capable of performing these pre-ride checks, then you must take your new electric bike to a certified bicycle mechanic at your local bike shop to perform these necessary pre-ride checks. If you fail to properly perform these pre-ride checks, you are putting your life at risk. An electric bike is not a toy, it is a strong and fast machine, and without proper care taken during assembly, tuning and riding, it can be dangerous. You are responsible for all assembly, tuning and maintenance cost incurred from any bike shop.
Battery Use Risk
Improper use, care, or charging of a lithium Ion battery could cause serious injury to the product, property, or persons. If the battery is tampered with or damaged in any way, do not use the product and find a hazardous waste removal center immediately.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to maintain safe storage and treatment of the battery at all times.
Only use the charger that came with your product. Just because a charger fits in your device doesn’t mean that it is safe to use.
Plug the charger into an outlet that is grounded.
Keep your device out of extremely high or low temperature locations. Do not place the battery in direct sunshine, or store the battery inside cars in significant hot or cold weather.
Do not expose the battery to water or allow the battery to get wet.
Do not continue charging the battery if it does not recharge within the specified charging time. Doing so may cause the battery to become hot, explode, or ignite.
Do not use your device if you notice any damage to the battery after dropping it. If you suspect damage to the battery, email our support or dispose of the battery and order a replacement.
Do not disassemble or modify the battery in any way. Modifying your electronic significantly increases the risk of explosion.
Please reference your bicycle's Owner’s Manual which provides important information regarding safety and maintenance of your electric bike. Please read through the entire manual prior to operating your machine and save the manual for future reference.

EXTENDED WARRANTY OPTIONS:
$199.95 - LIFETIME Extended Warranty: This warranty begins the day after your original manufacturer warranty ends. This warranty will last the ENTIRE life of the bicycle! We will warrant all components of your bicycle to be free of manufacturer defect and workmanship. Batteries warranty will be on a prorated basis, see chart below. Start month is when bicycle is delivered. Tires & Tubes are covered in this warranty! This means if you puncture your tube you are covered! Tires will be replaced when worn or due to manufacturer defect not to exceed one set per year. Tube replacement will remain at X-Treme’s discretion not to exceed sensible amount. Shipping & Handling is not included, beyond the original standard warranty, period and will be the responsibility of the customer. Warranty applies to original bicycle purchaser. Original receipt of purchase required.
